Looking for free things to do with kids in Wildwood this summer? The wildly popular Arts in the Parks series is back by demand, offering fun, free, and family-friendly activities in Wildwood’s neighborhood parks all summer long!
Perfect for vacationers and locals alike, Arts in the Parks is a seasonal favorite on the Jersey Shore—inviting families to unwind outdoors while enjoying creative arts & crafts and guided painting sessions. Every event is totally free, open to all ages, and no experience is required. Just bring a blanket or beach chair, and get ready to make memories (and masterpieces!).
🖌️ Event Schedule & Format
Running from late June through August, events take place at 7 PM and alternate between nature-themed crafts and step-by-step painting nights led by talented local instructors. These sessions are designed to spark creativity in kids and adults alike. The best part is that we provide the supplies!

🌟 From the City That Loves the Arts
Now in its 5th year, Arts in the Parks was started in 2021 by Commissioner Krista McConnell. “We launched this series during a time when people really needed connection and joy,” said McConnell. “Every summer, it brings new faces and familiar friends together in our parks. It’s creative, it’s communal, and it’s completely free!”
Funding has been made possible in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts / Department of State, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Cape May County Board of County Commissioners through the Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage.
